Gaza could kill two birds with one stone by trying out for TUF 20, as she would have the opportunity to accomplish her lifelong goal of making it into the UFC and also receive the chance to avenge an early-career loss to Invicta FC vet Paige VanZant.
"To go to the tryouts 100% healthy, that's my main concern right now," Gaza told show host Gina Begley.
Gaza admits she has some ill feelings about the outcome of her first fight against VanZant, which went down 18 months ago in the UWF - Tournament of Warriors Finale.
After three rounds of back-and-forth action, VanZant eked out a controversial split-decision victory that earned her a spot on the Invicta FC roster.
Had Gaza been awarded the judge's decision instead, she might have been the one to get the Invicta FC shot rather than VanZant.
As the story went, the UFC bought out the contracts of 11 Invicta FC strawweights, so the judge's decision at UWF is at least partially to blame why Gaza isn't already guaranteed a spot in the TUF 20 house.
"Oh definitely I know I won that fight," Gaza said of her bout with VanZant. "I also, no one goes in there 100 percent but if my mind was 100 percent in that fight, she would have been gone in the first round. Honestly I don't really like the girl at all.
"That's the main thing. I would just love to get that rematch and being in that house with her would be 100 times better. It would be awesome for TV too. I feel like fighting her right away, that would be easiest. I feel like everyone else signed to the show has a lot more experience, and that I have a lot more respect more, I guess you could say."
