Joran van der Sloot, suspect in Natalee Holloway case, confesses to murdering Stephany Flores
According to Peruvian police, Dutchman Joran van der Sloot, 22, confessed Monday to the murder of Stephany Flores.
Authorities say that he admitted to murdering the Peruvian woman because she saw “something” about Natalee Holloway on his laptop computer.
Van der Sloot met Flores at a Lima casino and the two were captured on surveillance video as they entered the hotel where he was staying.
Stephany, 21, was found on May 30 in his room in pool of blood. She had been stabbed and severely beaten with a baseball bat found in the hotel room.
Van der Sloot reportedly told police “I did not want to do it… The girl saw private things. She had no right. I approached her and she was scared.”
He continued, “We discussed it and she tried to escape, and I took her neck and hit her.”
Stephany’s murder took place five years to the day that Natalee Holloway, 18, disappeared in Aruba after leaving a nightclub with van der Sloot. She was on a high school graduation trip with classmates and was never heard from again after her encounter with the Dutchman
Van der Sloot has not been charged in Natalee’s disappearance, however, in 2007, he told a Dutch reporter, who surreptitiously recorded their encounter, that he was with Natalee when she passed out drunk and then asked his two friends dump her into the sea.
The Dutchman has been charged with extortion in the U.S. after allegedly contacting one of Natalee's family members claiming he could provide information regarding her whereabouts for a large some of money.

this could have easily been prevented if the police were more competent in the previous women he killed in Aruba. It disgusts me that even after all he said and extorted from the previous family that he was able to kill again. what the fpuck .

OMG this guy is a killer. I'm so surprised. How does he have stuff about Natalie Holloway on his computer for some random person to find. This guy is an absolute psychopath and needs to be put down.
Joran is a sociopath just like Amanda Knox.

The saddest thing about all this is that the second girl could be still alive if justice was served the first time he killed someone. Too bad they don't have the death penalty in Peru, but hopefully someone will give him some of his own medicine when he is in jail.
I read here, that it says Stephany was beaten with a baseball bat...she was beaten with what they(in Peru) call a "bat" yes, but it's actually what we call a tennis racket. Of course van der Sloot is telling tales again, on WHY he killed her. If you watch the video of the two of them going to his hotel room, he walks way ahead of her, and she is lagging behind. Something is not right about the way she is following him. IMO, he had already spiked her drink with something. It makes me wonder what reasoning he gave to even get her up to his room, since she was living openly as a lesbian. Ihave seen the video of Stephany's "friend" being interviewed, and she states there is no way Stephany would have gone to his room willingly, or without having been drugged. They did find a bottle containing what was to be the "date rape" drug. When she is found,the upper portion of her body is fully dressed, but her lower portion isn't. In a previous interview(Back in the NAtalie Holloway days) Joran van der Sloot stated, I didn't do anything to her, I would never hurt a girl" Well I guess this blows that statement right out of the water now doesn't it ? I am sorry, and my deepest sympathies go out to Stephany's family, and I am hoping that this case will get a true confession out of van der Sloot about what happened to Natalie ! It's past time for Natalie's family to be able to have closure. In Peru, the maximum sentence for murder is 35 years, of which he may end up serving only 1/3 of, but at least once he is formally charged and convicted in Peru, they can extradite him to the U.S. on those extortion and fraud charges, which can get him another 55 years (20 on one count, and 35 on the other) I am also willing to bet, there are other unsolved homicides in other countries he has been too, that can tie back to him. I don't believe Natalie and Stephany are the only two he has killed.

Stephanie had the date rape drug on board, otherwise she would not have gone to the room with him. The motive for him, I believe, was robbery. She was up $3,000.00. We will never know if she looked at his computer, she is dead. We will have to wait until the hard drive is looked at for the time line to be checked. How would she know his password? Most likely that is a lie. He stole her car, money, passport. What facts we do know about Joran are that he has an additive personalty. He is a liar, has rage, and no self control. Therefore he gambles, uses drugs, is pathological, is violent, attempts to traffic women, extorts money, kills. He has a clear pattern. He has not deviated from this pattern. He has an insatiable need for money. His parents gave him a $50,000.00 line of credit at 17 to gamble in Aruba. Eighteen is the legal age to gamble.They lived a modest life. They were trying to control the beast in him. It didn't work. The FBI sting in Aruba failed. Flores should not be dead.
