Joni Eareckson Tada faces another challenge

Joni Eareckson Tada, of Joni and Friends, International Disability Center, headquartered in Aquora Hills, California, has announced she is facing breast cancer.  In this announcement, Joni further shows her commitment to service in stating,

"...now I have a chance to truly empathize and journey alongside, affirming that God's grace is always sufficient for whatever the disease or disability."

Joni and Friends is a ministry mainly providing wheelchairs to people in need worldwide, disability awareness and education, and radio programs.

Joni's online update this week further stated that,

"I will be undergoing tests the rest of this week, after which, I will have surgery on the afternoon of Monday, June 28th. Please pray that the upcoming tests, surgery and subsequent treatment will be successful (thankfully, my quadriplegia has no bearing on either the surgery or the treatment; I'm like any other woman with breast cancer -- I simply want to focus my energies on getting better)."

JONIE, I JUST TURNED 69,MY MOM PASSED AWAY IN 92 FROM BREAST CANCER ,SHE WAS 78. I LOST HER TOO SOON. SHE BELEIVED IN GOING TO CHURCH ON SUNDAY SOMETIMES. SHE WANTED NOTHING TO DO WITH PASTORS. BY THIS TIME I WAS A BIBLE BELEIVING WESLEYAN, AND DECIDED TO LOOK FOR A PASTOR IN HER CITY. I MET A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG PAstor mamed michael leamon and he agreed to go to the hospital and talk to her before her surgery. he ran in to her r room seconds brfore she was ready to to go.to surgery . they stoped her gurney for a minute and it was like at first sight. he even offerede to break her out of this joint. from then until the time she passed away, mike and his family became like a second family for her. i was so happy, even when i moved her to my house he and wendy came to visit her 3 times a week. when she passed, i believe she had excepted GOD AS HER SAVIOR, AND I WILL SEE HER AGAIN since then mike has moved to to another state we are very close . my ladies group will pray 4 u
