BET's 106 & Park opens its stage to Chicago's non-traditional Gospel crooner Jonathan McReynolds Monday, March 31 at 5 pm CST/6 pm EST. EOne Music announced Sunday evening that the Chicago native will make his mainstream debut. 106 & Park will get a taste of what Chicago and the Gospel community already knows. Jonathan McReynolds is a rare find amongst the cookie-cutter music scene of today.

McReynolds has come a long way from writing and recording in his college dormitory room. Graduate of one of the most prestigious universities for the creative mind, Columbia College located in downtown Chicago has birthed a slew of actors, musicians and singers. Jonathan McReynolds happens to be one of those who have left there and have become a force to be reckoned with.

His mix of jazz and gospel influenced style creates a backdrop to deliver his message of God's love to those who may not frequent church. Thus, "Life Music" exemplifies what a successful Gospel album consist of; great musicianship, phenomenal vocals and lyrics that minister to the soul and share the everyday struggles and triumphs of the average Christian. Who would've known that Jonathan, a preacher's kid and church musician, would be heard and played by one of Chicago's most profound clergymen and infectious radio personality, Pastor John Hannah, over the airwaves early one morning.

Jonathan McReynolds has shared the stage with some of the music industry's greats. So many to name, however his collaboration with R&B/Neo Soul singer, India Arie, on the upcoming airing of the Celebration of Gospel on April 6, has definitely set his star into orbit higher and caused it to shine brighter.

Tune into 106 & Park on the BET network at 5 pm CST/ 6 pm EST on Monday evening.
