Pranks and hazing is a big part of the NFL, but sometimes it is known to go too far. ESPN reported on Oct. 30, 2013, that the Miami Dolphins actually went too far in the middle of the season as something pulled by some members of the team caused a starting offensive lineman to head home.
The incident happened on Monday of this week and it appears as if Martin was the victim of a prank that just went too far.
Sources say that Martin, the starting offensive tackle for the Dolphins, was the victim of the prank that was pulled by his fellow offensive lineman. It happened in the Dolphins' lunch room, but what exactly happened was not revealed.
"O-line made fun of him and he snapped," a source said.
As of now, Martin is listed as doubtful for the Dolphins' Thursday night game with the Cincinnati Bengals. It is being listed as an illness even though it is evidently known that he left the team. No-one from the Dolphins stated when Martin would be back with the team.
Back-up right tackle Tyson Clabo is expected to start for the Dolphins on Thursday night.
Martin has started every single game for the Dolphins this season.
