Jonathan Adler needlepoint hand sanitizer cozy to debut this spring

Many moms keep hand sanitizers with them. The bottles are not particularly stylish or attractive, but having the hand sanitizer nearby serves a purpose. Jonathan Adler has a solution to the ugly bottle problem. A needlepoint hand sanitizer cozy is available for pre-order and will be ready to ship this spring, on April 2, 2013.

The cozy

Two styles of the hand sanitizer cozy are available; pink or blue. They are needlepoint in 100 percent wool and retail for $42. The pattern is 3D cubes in shades of pink or blue. They should fit almost any 12 ounce hand sanitizer bottle.

Made from wool, you don’t have to worry about germs or dirt. Wool has natural anti-microbial properties. As long as you do not wash the wool, the natural oils in the fibers will repel dirt and water--great news for germaphobes.

Alternatives

Attractive as they may be, there is another way to have a stylish hand sanitizer cozy. Make one yourself. Take measurements of your favorite hand sanitizer bottle and transfer those measurements to needlepoint cloth. Pick a design of your choice, and use 100 percent wool to create a unique cozy that reflects your personal style and taste. You can cover the largest hand sanitizer bottle available for way less than $42 if you do this yourself.

Spring trends in needlepoint

Designers are loving needlepoint this spring. Jonathan Adler is not the only one sporting needlepoint designs. Brooks Brothers has needlepoint belts, billfolds, flasks, and card cases. Prices range from $68 for a needlepoint lobster card case to $198 for a needlepoint belt.
