The Jonas Brothers took to Facebook on Thursday to confirm the band's breakup. Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas write that they "are now simply choosing to be brothers." The guys go on to thank their fans for all the support throughout the group's 10 year career. Here is an excerpt of the Jonas Brothers' personal letter to fans:
It is with heavy hearts that we confirm that our time as the Jonas Brothers is over. This decision has not come lightly, and we know that many of you will be disappointed. The time has come for us to move forward on individual career paths. We have been a band of brothers for 10 years and are now choosing simply to be brothers. Going forward, you can expect exciting things from each of us, and we will of course continue to support each other in all things.
In confirming the band's breakup, the Jonas Brothers also mentioned that they will release one final album as a parting gift to fans. Members of the Team Jonas fan club will receive the digital-only album. It will contain four new songs from the band's scrapped "V" album and 10 more live tracks from their tour this past summer. More details on the special release will be released to Team Jonas soon.
