The Jonas Brothers and Selena Gomez took the stage last night in Universal City for the Concert of Hope held at Gibson Amphitheater in order to raise money for the City of Hope. The City of Hope generates about $1 million per year through their Concert for Hope benefits. The money goes directly to lifesaving cancer research and helps save lives every year.

Selena Gomez and The Scene headlined the Concert for Hope fundraising event which attracted a star-studded attendance from celebrities such as Denise Richards and featured a special performance from The Jonas Brothers. Staples was the major sponsor of the event.
The City of Hope is one of the nation’s leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and life-threatening diseases. The City of Hope is also highly regarded by the National Cancer Institute which has designated the center as a Comprehensive Cancer Center; one of the highest honors a center can receive.
The American Cancer Society has estimated that over 1.5 million people had been diagnosed with cancer in 2010 with roughly 11,000 children under fifteen years old. The City of Hope has programs which are specialized for pediatrics with research and treatment programs designed for children, teens and young adults.
