Jonah Hill revealed that he was paid merely peanuts for his role in Martin Scorses’s film “The Wolf of Wall Street.” He made $60,000 for the seven month shoot, which is the lowest pay scale for an actor on a film, according to the New York Daily News on Jan. 22.

Hill was just nominated for an Academy Award for his role in the Scorsese film. He made his low pay wage reveal on the Howard Stern show this week. Hill, 30, said he would sell his house and give Scorsese the money if it would have got him a part on this film.

Hill told Stern when they offered him the $60,000, Hill didn’t blink an eye, he said “I’ll sign it right now,” he didn’t want to take the chance of the famous director changing his mind.

Hill, a two-time nominee for Academy Awards said he would have done almost anything to work with this director. This is a man who is truly in love with the art of acting. Hopefully that Academy Award nomination prompts the great director to throw some perks Hills way. After all the film is a run-away success!
