Jon Stewart shows Fox News what a real tyranny looks like

On Wednesday President Obama announced his recommendations to reduce gun violence in America. In response, Fox News personalities responded by calling President Obama a king and accusing him of “ripping apart the Constitution.” Last night, Jon Stewart informed Fox News what a tyranny really looks like.

In his recommendations President Obama asked Congress to renew the assault weapons ban, limit the size of magazines and clips, and institute a universal background check for gun purchases. As Stewart put it, “when tyrants want things done, they generally don’t ask their legislative bodies if that would be OK. They tend to proceed, what’s the word I’m looking for, tyrannically.”

Obama also signed 23 executive actions into law, which Fox News hosts claimed were a violation of the separation of powers. Stewart proceeds to read over the 23 executive actions, all of which deal solely with the executive branch, and declare, “That ain’t f**kin Hitler.”

Stewart then points out that Fox News was not so skeptical of presidents when President George W. Bush vastly extended the executive branch power after the September 11 attacks.
