On the National Mall in Washington D.C., comedians Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are hosting the much hyped "Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear." Just days before the midterm elections, Stewart and Colbert encouraged thousands of like-minded folks to descend onto the mall for a handful of speeches, music, and political satire.
The Roots hit the "Restore Sanity" rally around noon on Saturday, performing "Thought At Work" off their 2002 album "Phrenology." The band was aided by the smooth vocals of John Legend, who then performed "Dear God 2.0" off their latest collaborative effort "Wake Up!"
At one point, Black Thought told the crowd that a portion of their set would be dedicated to singer Donny Hathaway. The group then performed "Little Ghetto Boy."
John Legend and The Roots' "Wake Up" was released on Setepmber 21st. For more on the "Restore Sanity" rally, check out the vertical column to your left, where you can check out pictures and video from the event.
