Jon Stewart mocks those who doubt Obama’s skeet shooting

Last night Jon Stewart took on what has become known to some as the “skeet truthers.” In an interview in the New Republic last week, President Obama was asked if he had ever shot a gun. The President responded by saying he has gone skeet shooting many times at Camp David. Since the interviews release many gun advocates have expressed their doubts about Obama’s claim, and some have even demanded a picture of the President skeet shooting. Stewart takes the skeptics to task in the video segment below via Comedy Central.

Stewart first provides the doubters with a possible explanation as to why the White House will not release a photo of President Obama holding a gun:

“Why won’t the black man half the country lives in fear of release a picture of himself holding a gun? I don’t understand. It would put everyone at ease. Why won’t he do it?”

Stewart also questions what makes firing a gun so special, ranking it with the ability to clean one’s ear with their finger, “Since when did the ability to fire a weapon become a badge of honor, a patriotic achievement? All you need is finger.”

Stewart ends by reading President Obama a story Oh the People Who Hate You!, a variation of the famous Dr. Seuss tale Oh the Places You’ll Go!. Stewart tries to explain to the President that a good portion of the population, especially gun advocates, will not like him no matter what he says or does.
