Jon Gruden rumors: Buzz he is headed to Dallas Cowboys is 'ridiculous' (Video)

The latest Jon Gruden rumors are that the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach may be headed back to field, and that he'll be headed to the Dallas Cowboys. This comes about after several key former staffers from Gruden's Bucs days have signed on with the Cowboys, but a tweet from ESPN's Ed Werder on Jan. 27 seems to dampen those hopeful about this potential plan.

Werder tweets, “Response from reliable team source when I asked if TB glory-days asst. coaches being hired in Dallas meant Gruden on way: 'Ridiculous.'” NFL.com notes that the Jon Gruden rumors swirl because he is said to still be open to a coaching return, but until now he hasn't gotten specific about just where he'd be willing to go. Gruden has been in television since his 2008 coaching departure, but many think he's preparing for a coaching return.

The Dallas Cowboys have recently added Rod Marinellli, Monte Kiffin and Rich Bisaccia to the coaching staff, all of whom worked under Gruden in Tampa Bay. This understandably paves the way for Jon Gruden rumors to build regarding a potential move to Dallas, but for now Jason Garrett still has the gig. However, rumors that Jerry Jones has been spotted in Dallas, alongside buzz that he's been seen with Jon Gruden, leave many wondering if there are additional major changes afoot.

What do you think of the Jon Gruden rumors? Should Garrett be sent packing? Will the new additions to the coaching staff lead the Dallas Cowboys down a better path?
