Jon Gosselin is waiting tables in Pennsylvania. The former reality star (made famous on TLC's "Jon and Kate Plus 8") has a new job as a waiter at Black Dog restaurant in Beckersville. On Sept. 18, PEOPLE Magazine posted about catching up with the father of eight who says that he was "nervous" about how people would perceive him when they found out that he's waiting tables while his ex-wife is living in a mansion and doing the stay-at-home mom thing while making money off of her books and appearances.
Kate Gosselin has primary custody of the couple's eight kids (twins and sextuplets). When she and Jon split up, he decided that he no longer wanted to be in the spotlight. He changed his life and he seems content where he's at.
Jon Gosselin waiting tables isn't that surprising given the fact that he chose the non-famous life for himself. He's just an average guy with a not-so-average family. Regardless what he chooses to do, people seem to support him (mostly because they cannot stand his ex). Jon says that he is living his life with "no regrets" and it sounds like he's enjoying his new job.
"At first I was nervous because I was like, 'How are people going to react?' But then I'm thinking, 'Well, it's fun and I get to talk to people.' And they technically already know me... they're like, 'Are you the guy?' I'm like, 'Yeah, I'm the guy,'" Gosselin said.
Jon Gosselin feels waiting tables isn't so bad... and it's not. At least he's working, right? Oh, and don't forget about that lawsuit he's facing. Hopefully his tips cover his lawyer fees.
