Jon Gosselin makes TLC an offer they can refuse

Jon Gosselin apparently no longer wants to fight TLC in the courtroom -- he's instead offering them a truce. According to a new story by Radar Online, the former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star is willing to allow the network to film his children again under the condition that the breach of contract lawsuit against him is dropped.

For Jon, this move is clearly a sign that he is in some deep financial trouble. The lawsuit has rendered him unable to make a living as a TV personality, and in that period of time he has lost a tremendous amount of name recognition. In addition, he will also have an expensive court battle ahead if TLC chooses the move forward as planned.

After all, it's not like the network has to agree to this offer. "Jon and Kate Plus 8" was faring poorly in the ratings back in November, so who's to say having the kids on board again would really help? Plus, the network has already been working on their own show featuring Kate on her own -- it's possible that the network could revive their "Kate Plus Eight" plan, but it's not incredibly likely.

A source makes one thing clear: if the kids come back to TLC it will be without their famous father. “You can be sure that if the kids come back...it will be only with Kate, not with Jon. And there’s no guarantee that will happen either.”

What would be next for Jon? If he gets out of this TLC contract soon enough, it's possible that he could be on this season of "Dancing With the Stars." He's a controversial figure, and ABC has taken chances on people in the past.

Do you think TLC should agree to Jon's offer? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more Gosselin news.

No, I don't think they should accept his offer. They should go ahead with the trial. Karma, Jon......
He thought he was so high and mighty well he isn't anymore. And no, he shouldn't be on dancing with the star!!! He needs to go and get a regular job just like he had before all this started and start paying child support for all 8 !!!! With the $$ left over he can rent a room somewhere. Poor Jon!!!

This man is the biggest hypocrite walking. What ever happened to that epiphany he had about his kids not being expoited anymore? Dance you way to a steady job and out of the limelight. You're no star.

Jon has ego to burn. He must have worked at one time. He probably needs an upgrade, but education can not hurt. He needs to support his children. Those children are no longer cute little tots. Mostly they are not talented, spoiled, screaming, obstinent adolescents with bratty behavier. Kate can let her own hair grow. Keep it neat and becoming, not a shocking conversation. She can keep busy, writing and appearing as a guest until she finds the right venue.
