Jon Gosselin, former TV reality star of “Jon and Kate Plus 8” threatened a photographer with a gun on September 20, 2013. So what warranted this type of warning from the father of eight kids?
The photographer waited for Jon to get off work. He is a waiter at the Black Dog restaurant. Then she tried to follow him home so she could snap some pictures of his cabin and where he lives. The photographer followed Jon as he turned off the main road to travel the dirt roads heading toward his home.
The photographer thought she was still traveling down public roads. When Jon finally stopped, the photographer started snapping pictures. According to TMZ, Jon yelled that she was trespassing on his property. To emphasize the point, he pulled out a gun from his pants pocket and fired a warning shot. The photographer got the message, making a hasty retreat. Jon followed along behind to make sure that she was off his property.
The photographer went to the police station to file a report, but she decided against that action after the police had a talk with her. The police informed her that Jon was within his rights, and she could be the one arrested for trespassing on private property.
Jon told TMZ "I am licensed to carry a concealed handgun, which I withdrew and used to fire a warning shot AWAY from the paparazza. It is well within my rights under Pennsylvania law when someone is trespassing on private property."
