Jon Gosselin, 2009's Most Hated Man!

Jon Gosselin just may be the most hated father of them all, say Americans.

According to internet data, the father of eight and estranged husband of reality wife Kate Gosselin is one of the most searched male figures of the year, but with search terms ‘Jon Gosselin idiot’ and ‘Jon Gosselin bad’ presenting hundreds of thousands of key-word results, it’s no secret the 32-year-old walks thin ice in the media.

Following news gossip followers have grown tired of Gosselin coverage, reports show Jon Gosselin is the least favorite of the former lovers, with a staggering 81% of poll users agreeing Jon has taken things too far.

Funny, considering Jon was the overall favorite during the initial run of the TLC reality show Jon and Kate, Plus 8.

In the first episodes, television blogs compared Kate to a ‘cold hearted shrew’ for her seemingly constant berating of Jon and his ability to perform simple tasks. Further, fans of the show expressed joy when news of the separation was announced and even sought to poke fun at Kate and her wacky hair style, dedicating FaceBook groups to his ‘freedom’ and to support his new single life choice.

Oh how things have changed!

Jon and his popularity took a turn for the worst when the public agreed the father had appeared to have forgotten that very important fact, he’s a Dad. Hundreds of angry reality fans and outraged parents begun to question the father’s dedication to his kids (not to mention his maturity) when photos emerged of the party boy smoking, drinking and dating several younger women, including the daughter of Kate’s plastic surgeon, Hailey Glassman.

Surely news of hacking Kate’s emails and withdrawing hundreds of thousands from their personal bank account didn’t help?

“He’s immature, he’s starting to irritate me now,” said one commenter.

And it seems reality stars agree.

Frances Callier and Angela Shelton of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me out of Here both publically support Kate, saying, “We're totally Team Kate. When you push out all those babies, I don't care what kind of bitch you are, he needs to stay with her. Jon is a douche."

So too, does Adrianne Curry, supermodel and reality star of My Fair Brady: "Get your children off TV! Stop ruining their lives, and stop thinking about yourselves. When you have children, you become selfless not selfish."
