“CHEF” the film premiered at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center as part of the Tribeca Film Festival.

“CHEF” – a film written and directed by “Iron Man” director and “Swingers” writer and star, Jon Favreau, tells the story of a chef who loses his restaurant job following a restaurant critic’s bad review and starts up a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while finding his true bliss in the journey of getting back his estranged family.

This is a funny, raw, authentic peek behind the kitchen door, destined to be a food film classic; joining the ranks of “Big Night,” “Like Water for Chocolate,” “Tampopo,” and last year’s chefs’ top pick at the food in cinema themed James Beard Awards, “Ratatouille.”

The film stars Favreau, John Leguizamo, Bobby Cannavale, Scarlett Johansson, Dustin Hoffman, Amy Sedaris, Robert Downey Jr. and Sofia Vergara.

The behind the scenes star and chef coach was Los Angeles chef, Roy Choi.
