Bon Jovi frontman, Jon Bon Jovi has declined his most recent television talent show job offer with the popular show the "X-Factor." MSN reported on Tuesday, Jan. 29 that Bon Jovi declined the offer stating, "I already have a job."
This is not the first television talent show gig the 50-year-old rock star and father of four has been reportedly offered in the past couple of years. Jon was rumored to have been offered the judge's seat that was recently vacated by rocker Steven Tyler on "American Idol."
Jon Bon Jovi reveals that he is just "too busy" to take on any new obligations at this time.
Bon Jovi tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "I was offered all of them (the TV talent contests) last year, but it's not for me, because I have a job, we're busy."
Jon recently admitted that he feels sorry for the wannabe stars who find overnight success on TV. "It's hard for the talent because they're thrust into a huge spotlight, then they win these things and they're expected to have a record that's on a par with the greats," he said. "I had 23 years to write my first record -- I was able to develop a career in bars, I would never have won any of those contests. You see them there, and they can hit the high note and then a year later they're a trivia question. It's a big ask of these kids."
Jon and the rest of the band, Richie Sambora, David Bryon and Tico Torres as previously reported are set to kick of their new 2013 world tour "Because We Can" on FEB 9 UNCASVILLE, CT at MOHEGAN SUN.
