Jon Bon Jovi talked on Friday, March 15 with Katie Couric about his biggest nightmare as a father, saying that when he received the call last November about his daughter Stephanie Bongiovi, overdosing on heroin, that it was the, "Worst phone call ever," according to Us magazine reports on Saturday, March 16.
Jon, a very private man, when it comes to his family life opened up on Katie Couric's talk show, "Katie," on Friday, the rocker recalled the day he discovered that his daughter, Stephanie Bongiovi, was hospitalized after overdosing at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York.
Bon Jovi's worst call ever, served as a wake-up call for the 51, year-old frontman of Bon Jovi he reveals.
"In short, that problem is much more a problem than I knew, and I can't get over how many people have said, 'My son, my daughter,'" Jon shared to Couric. "There's a lot of pressure on kids these days."
Fortunately, the Grammy nominee says Stephanie is doing much better now with the support of their entire family. (She's the eldest of Jon's four kids with wife of 23 year Dorothea Hurley; her siblings are Jesse, 18, Jacob, 10, and Romeo, 8.)
"She's doing great," he said. "I'm just blessed she's healthy and whole and we'll get through it."
As previously reported, Bon Jovi frontman, Jon Bon Jovi's 19-year-old daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi has been arrested in Upstate New York. last Nov.14., and that Stephanie Bongiovi has been reported to have allegedly overdoses on heroin.
The Town of Kirkland police department stated that they responded this morning to a call from the Hamilton College security personal to come top a dorm room after someone found Stephanie Bongiovi unresponsive.
