It is now known that Sambora really bailed on the "Because We Can" tour because he is feuding with Jon Bon Jovi over poor treatment and money, according to The New Jersey Star-Ledger on April 3.
Richie Sambora recently announced he will not be performing with Bon Jovi for the remaining shows on the "Because We Can" tour due to "personal issues", but those "personal issues" have nothing to do with alcohol abuse, which was originally thought to be the reason for his sudden departure. Reportedly, his decision to leave the band is all about a feud that has erupted between Richie, the lead guitarist, and Jon, the lead singer.
Sources close to the situation say that tensions have been high between Sambora and Bon Jovi for years, and has finally blown up into an all-out war between the two right in the middle of the "Because We Can" world tour. Apparently, the source of the problem has been poor treatment of Richie by Jon, as well as money issues. The band's website announced that Sambora will be absent from the remaining leg of the "Because We Can" tour, which officially ends in May after a two month swing through Europe.
During the band's last concert in Calgary, Jon Bon Jovi told the crowd that he had two choices to either pack up and go home or give them "everything I got". He went on to tell the audience that "Richie Sambora won't be performing for a while. If there's ever a night I need you, it's tonight, Calgary!" In the meantime, Sambora has been spotted vacationing with his daughter Ava in Hawaii and went on his Twitter account to thank his fans for their concern.
"Thank you everyone for your concern. I'm well, but had to stay in LA to take care of a personal matter. Love you all and see you very soon."
