"Jon & Kate Plus 8" reality TV show will continue despite parents Jon and Kate Gosselin's divorce. TLC president Eileen O'Neill stated at a meeting the Television Critics Association, “Jon and Kate Plus 8” will return on Monday August 3, 2009, but with the Gosselins "separately parenting" their eight children. The show has been on hiatus since the Gosselins announced their split in June.

While the couple’s every problem in their marriage, from separation to divorce to new love, was capitalized on by gossip news, O’Neill stated, "Their status as a couple has obviously been disappointing for everybody; we can't change anything about people's lives.”

What can fans expect to see when “Jon and Kate Plus 8” return in the first episode since their divorce announcement?

“You’ll see Jon struggle in the kitchen trying to make pizza for his kids.”… “You’ll see what it’s like when Kate has to put a tent up for the first time for her kids, who love to camp in their backyard. And she gets a little advice from her daughter who doesn’t think she does it quite as well as dad,” Eileen O’Neill went on to state.

As far as TLC’s filming of Jon and Kate’s private lives (Jon’s new home and “girlfriends” in NYC and Kate’s new home in Rockville, MD), O’Neill stated “As far as new people and places that may be cycling into Jon and Kate’s lives, we’re taking it on a case-by-case basis.”…“Jon and Kate have never said they were perfect”... “You’re still going to see two parents that love their kids, but you’ll see them parenting separately.”
