Former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star Kate Gosselin may not have to start performing on "Dancing With the Stars" for another two weeks, but she already has a plan for success. According to a new story by My Fox Philadelphia, the reality TV mom intends to rally moms together from around the country in order to form a solid voting block:
“The most powerful and exciting thing that has come from all the fame and notoriety is the camaraderie with mothers...I feel a uniting of moms everywhere. Moms all do the same job and I get so much from the mothers everywhere. There is so much support.”
Kate went on to add that “there are patches of people everywhere. Tony’s kids and my kids assure us 11 votes!”
Having support form all of the moms our there will certainly be well and good, but it's to be seen if that will be enough to pull Kate to the top of the back. In order to win "Dancing With the Stars," you generally need to win over fans early and keep them on your side. For evidence, all you have to do is look at Donny Osmond from last year -- he wasn't arguably the best dancer in the competition, but he realized that satisfying fans was ultimately more important than attempting to get a perfect 30 from the judges. Mya, meanwhile, was an expert at getting perfect scores but lacked the same sort of fan support.

If you think that for one minute the votes are actually counted on these shows, you're delusional. As long as KG keeps the tongues wagging they will keep her on the show.
Kate's just doing what she's been told to do - keep up the controversy. Kudos to her.

In my opinion, the only way Kate Gosselin can get votes and support on the DWTS show is from those who did NOT see her mean-spirited, self-centered, cruel antics on the Jon & Kate Plus Eight program. My prediction is that the legions of Kate Haters, many of whom are mothers and others who objected to her exploitation of her sextuplets and craving for fame at all costs, will vote AGAINST Kate Gosselin.
Kate is doing a heck of a lot more than the loser moms who hang out on the internet all day talking trash about her. She's clearly a whole lot happier too!
I hope she goes far. She has come through some adversity with a smile and shown great character. I love how she can laugh at herself and how funny she is. Go Kate!

Mothers with a lick of common sense can see right through her phoniness and those that can't would probably sell their soul and their children's too but let's hope that there are more people out there with common sense and she is booted out first.

Funny how the ones who wish to lick Kates butt say the ones who hate her are on the internet all the time, they are to. They must just be the same as Kate, Child abusers and users and selfish low life human beings. Kate don't have enough that even see her as human to get the publics vote to go all the way. It is Kate that did away with all family values because she wanted to continue to use the children for a pay check. Seems to me that anyone with any sense would know that is just wrong period. Jon wwas the good parent trying to prevent her from using them any more. The only reason it did not work is because Kate and TLC joined forces to prevent Jon from working but let Kate continue to pimp herself out to who ever would have her hoping Jon would have to give in in order to be able to get work. Kate don't own Jon and TLC don't either. Kate is gone all the time because she is a usless parent that does not want to be around the children period. She looks bad to!
Have to agree with Thomas. As long as Kate G. has people talking, they will keep her around. I don't think she would be around very long because she doesn't have that likeability factor, but it seems like people like controversy, and Kate is definately that! But not kudos to her!
I am sure that all of Kate's Christian mom followers go off and spend over a week with a MARRIED MAN promoting themselves and their body while leaving their eight children under the age of nine in the care of a couple of Cambodian nannies.
The photo of Kate with Tony her dance partner with TIGHT, TIGHT jeans looks might happy to be standing next to Kate and her overflowing silicon breasts. And then there is Steve leering at her from the sidelines. What was Kate doing so far away in Lattimore County when she was stopped for speeding (73 in a 55) for the second time in four months? Was she off with a tryst?
How can someone who claims to be so focused on her kids do so much to be distracted and away from them? She says for money and to maintain the lives which they are accustomed to living. What are you standing for if you have to have enough money to pay nannies and cleaning ladies and a million dollar home? Humility is much more attractive. I am a mom and cannot relate to her so no vote from me.

The world would have been a better place if Kate Gosselin would have been aborted. Jon would have been with woman who was really a good person and good mom more than likely and those little kiddo's Kate had implanted in her would not have to go through Kate Gosselin's hell and all the pain she has caused them. Even if Kate is home she is not raising the children. She is to busy spending the money they made off the show or her exploiting them more in her books and such! I would vote for her for dead beat mom of the year and most faked out and biggest liar person of the year. The best interest of a child, any child is to have a parent that loves them and puts them first, not one that loves herself and puts herself and money first, yes, you need money but Kate loves money not the children and she could be there to raise the children with that nursing job. Many many people have done it on much less. No not in a 1.3 mil house and all the luxuries but many have done it and had all the needed, much of what they wanted and the love and attention of 1 or 2 loving parents. Kate probably buys the children off to. It will get her when she is alone dying because she has done wrong to so many-her family included and first on the list. This family has not gotten the message. It is time to live "within your means". Without a job you down size, sell the house and move into something affordable, woo affordable what an idea. TLC has replaced this family with very good shows. Each of the shows reflect the commited mothers that work very hard to care for their children, they don't hire out.
Kate is a strong determined woman and people seem so threatened by that. I wonder how all the haters would measure up if their lives were examined by the public. I dare say not near as well as Kate. Best of luck to her and hope she continues to live her life as she sees fit.
Why are you speechless? It is simply the truth, the truth hurts sometimes, that why Kate Gosselin keeps on lieing, she is hurting her whole family and was trying to hide it for her own selfish wants. Have you seen the J&K show and the remarks her OWN family says. They are not in it for the money, that was just another lie Kate said. They speak the truth, the truth hurt Kate and the results is Kate is a horrible person. She used churches with her lies. Truth is, no real mom would EVER support a person who has hurt so many people and cares only for herself. But thats ok, think what you want, I have a very nice life and I never used my children or anyone else. I simply don't like all the pain and trauma she has caused her own family and never will. She could be home and being a mom, she don't want to, she wants to take care of her and her wants only. My family has 12 in it. All was very well taken care of with college degrees normal working parents. We are loved, they are not.
Kate Gosselin isn't the only mother contestant. Niecy Nash and Pamela Anderson, according to the DWTS website, have children. And last I knew, the contestants are judged on their dancing skills, not their mothering skills.
To those writing novels full of hatred here.....nobody reads this stuff, only those who google "gosselin" all day looking for places to rag on the Gosselins. I found this from a link to a blog where they are all laughing at you, lol!
The other contestants are not using their children as excuses for being on the show. Kate Gosselin is, I think this lie she said she is doing it for them for some stupid reason. Yes, again she uses the children. Your right though, it is suppose to be about dancing and stars. That is why Kate is stupid enough to talk children to try to use them for votes, and the fact she is not a star, she is just a mom who should have be prevented from having children only to use and abuse them and abandon them. Now, she is going out with married men and lord only knows what else. But in her own basement in front of the children. Um-loser is what she is. The show she was on was all stagged, the children was unhappy and Jon to, all because of Kate. Pretty solid she is a person who only cares about herself and is willing to use any one to get what she wants while her family suffers.

And, btw, try watching some more of those shows out there with multiples, as many as you or close to it. Those people are making it ON THEIR OWN. No crying because cribs don't match. Both working. I CAN NOT stand Kate!!! Sara is right on Jon... he gets the shaft in everything!!! On the show where she had a yard sale she had the twins christmas ornaments for sale that Jons dad had given them. I know that any Christmas ornament that was given to my children fron a Grandparent has much meaning and when the children get older they will have a cherised heirloom and be able to say " I was five when grandpa gave this to me" the one twin noticed it was for sale and had to practically beg her mom to let her keep it..the twin even said to Kate ..but Grandpa gave it to me. So much for Kate I won't vote for her and I wish people would stop calling Jon such a looser.. he is much more likable than her... AND where the heck is she half the time she is not home with those kids either..and for all you Kate lovers ..its not because she needs to make money to support the family.. its to support what Kate wants..She is a money hungry..fame hungry..attention addict..and I will not vote for her!!!

Jon's father had passed and the only thing Kate really had to say about him was he was the one who kept the kids, babysat them, there again, she is a user and abuser. That little ornament was precious because Jon's Dad had given it, she don't consider no one but herself. Why the heck does anyone think she considers the childrens real feelings, emotions and even consider they need her when they are sick or just need mom. Well mom is busy being a fame chaser not a real mom. Just don't like her for all the right reasons. I wish Jon all the luch. She has lied way to much and belittle Jon one to many times in my eyes. I won't be watching Kate in anything she is in. She is a "spot light" seeker. If Kate G wins the entire dance contest, it will most likely be only because of her name and her obviously never-ending popularity with so many gullible people, especially women who think Kate is such a good role model. Kate does seem to get everything she wants in life. She hardly even looks like a mother of 8 kids - looks like a floozy who will do anything for publicity and money. I guess a lot of people just haven't figured that out yet.

I am torn between not watching DWTS,just because I am sickened by Kate and don't want to give her ratings, and watching so I can participate in the vote for the Others, so she doesn't win. I am pleased that so many are as disgusted with Kate Gosselin as I am . I am sickened that she will earn $200,000, just for being a participant on DWTS (saw this on the CNN site). If she doesn't win, she still gets a lot of money! I agree that true, real caring moms would not hold her up as a role model. She is the poorest role model for motherhood that I have ever seen! She expects so much --- she seems to feel she is much more deserving than the mothers who truly do spend a lot of time with their children and try to make ends meet. What if, say, she had to gear down from a million dollar home to say, a $500,000 one? Oh, poor poor Kate! She would still have much much more than most people. She is greedy and selfish. Let's unite to boycott Kate Gosselin!!! Get her off the air!

OMG, when my family, friends and I heard of Kate being on DWTS; everyone vowed to make this a get together night! We are all voting for Kate, whether a dancer or not. We love her. We only see one part of her, those "Eight little Gosselins' Mama." That's who we are voting for, that's the only help we can all contribute the babies. Everyone else is contributing to hating their mama, they will suffer the consequences more from that than any other thing. God bless Kate and her babies.
Is she a star...? Wow and she claims she hates being a "celebrity". It's apparent she can't get enough of the spotlight and her tv career has nothing to do with her children. By the way, who will be taking care of them while she dancing and shooting and training multiple hours a week?
