Former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star Kate Gosselin is one day away from Mother's Day, and the reality TV mom is now taking the time to discuss how much the day actually means to her. In an interview with People Magazine released on Friday (but recorded during her time on "Dancing with the Stars," Kate had this to say about the greatest Mother's Day gift of all:
"Mother's Day means that my sextuplets turn a year older ever year, so that's what I think of Mother's Day. Without a doubt, my best Mother's Day gift...I have eight of them."
In the end, this is the sort of answer one would have to expect from a famous mom with a heap of children -- after all, what else could she say? The famous sextuplets always do celebrate their birthday around the holiday. This year, they will be turning six.

Kate thinks EVERY day is mother's day. She likes to sit in her white chair and give orders. Her kids call her Queen Bee.
She expects her coffee in bed and all 8 to cow-tow to her every wish. What a fraud she is.

I really don't think anyone knows how Kate Gosselin behaves in her own home. If you actually believe the fake conflicts and drama you saw on that stupid reality show, you are truly a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic.
How about all those other moms out there that are doing a spectacular job raising their kids, but without all the poor me attitude and complaints. Shouldn't we be honoring them. Examiner, why don't you seek out and interview some of those moms for a change!!!!!

SMS, I couldn't agree with you more. I know of tons of wonderful mom who love their children, and are so grateful for every moment with them. They do not try to steal the spotlight, but, rather, focus the light upon their children. They don't spend zillions of $$ on themselves, but, rather build a relaxing and welcoming home for their family, sometimes on a shoe string. The most sucessful women I know, treat their husbands with respect IN FRONT of their children as a living example of parenting, love and devotion. THANK YOU MOMS OUT THERE, YOU ARE WONDERFUL.
Particia, everyone knows people are on their best behavior when the cameras are on them and other people are around them, so Kate is probably worse when no one is around so Kate can really let loose! As for having a article on Kate and if she will have a relaxing Mother's Day, I have to agree with everyone else when they say you should go out and interview mothers that have to be a mother everyday without nannies and house help, and see how they manage on a day to day basis and see how they are going to celebrate Mother's Day with their families!
Like millions of others, Kate is a good mom. Articles about Kate are only written cause so many of you folks need to let out your poor frustrations on commenting. Kate is thankful that not only did she have six beautiful children, she is thankful that they were born heathly and did not have many of the health problems that face most large multiple children have.
Why should Mother's Day be any different for this woman. Isn't every day she lives Mother's Day and all about her.
Why not interview woman who actually are mothers raising their children and find out what their plans are for this day.

As hard as it is to raise kids you get so much joy from them too.if she would stop being so bossy and share custody equally with Jon,they would all be happier and she would be a happy Mother with happy kids.If my Husband and i were divorced I would always want him to share equally in all the decisions I made.This is about being the best Mother and Father to these kids!i hope Jon and Kate grow up and work things out!!!!

UM, yeah, just because she is a mom of 8 and her dead beat husband has decided to pursue other interests does not mean that she has to sit at home all day! She obviusly needs to provide for these children and that is why she is out there trying to make ends meat to support them. So what if she has nannies at home taking care of ther kids knowing Kate they are excellent nanny's anyway! A mother has to do whatever she needs to do to take care of her kids! and obviously Kate is responsible enough to do so!
