Former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star Kate Gosselin did not go home on Tuesday night's "Dancing With the Stars" results show -- and she was genuinely surprised by the news. In a new interview courtesy of Radar Online, the reality TV mom had this to say following the announcement that she was safe for another week:
"I'm really grateful to the viewers that voted because my dancing needs a lot of work, and they're keeping me here...And I appreciate it because I need to face my fears, I need to conquer my fears and most importantly, my kids need to eat popcorn and watch me on Monday night because seriously, they'd be so upset."
Kate also added that she was convinced she was going home this week, and felt like she "was going to throw up" while standing on the stage nervously with partner Tony Dovolani. She was the last celebrity to be declared safe, as Shannen Doherty and Pam Anderson ended up as members of the bottom two. (Shannen ultimately was the one who went home.)

Obviously this show is rigged. All the blogs show nothing but distaste and rancour against Kate...She is beneath contempt and the worst dancer with the most horrendous attitude. She displays demonic evil in her eyes if anyone criticizes her who in the world would vote for her?

This woman makes me sick. Nothing is her fault. She never even smiled the whole show until the end when they said she was safe. That's when I about threw up.
I read a good article that hits it right on the head: It said that no Kate hater can hate Kate as much as she hates herself. For whatever reason, she just cannot connect with her femininity. No matter how much plastic surgery she gets, she will not feel comfortable as a woman, and thus will not be truly beautiful and graceful. Also, what I do not understand is why so many think that Kate is such a hardworking mother? They say that many mothers are away from their kids so they can provide for them. True enough. However, it takes a tremendous amount of time, energy and money to practice for DWTS and fly back and forth across the country. This show is taking Kate away for weeks and months at a time. The boob jobs, the hair extensions, the socializing also take her from the children. When she is with them, it seems to be in front of the cameras mostly. Is she alone much with them?? I doubt it. So what if she provides an expensive lifestyle? Nannies are mostly raising them.

Wow! I'd love to read that article. I am one of those people that thinks Kate is less than feminine. I suspect she might have been happier being born a man. She sure is a sourpuss on DWTS. I tend to think Jon should get sainthood. He took her crap for 10 years. Tony only made it for 4 weeks.
Kate can talk all she wants about how she isn't a diva, she was only with those people for 5 days. 5 minutes is probably all it takes to figure what Kate is.

Why on earth would everyone be jealous of Kate? She is a very unhappy woman. She is unable to enjoy life or her children. She has some issues. I think she needs therapy more than any person I have ever seen or known. I do know that I am not jealous of her, at all. I do not know one single person who would trade lives with her, not one! She's a mess and people like to make fun of her. So, why do you think anyone is jealous of her?
...but I was truly entertained!

And the judges comments; Shopping cart, nightmare, no talent, robot...and watching Kate's familiar vicious scowl at them as they spoke - ha hahahaa!! SUCH FUN!
Kate's too dense to understand it all, and her ego will swell her head so large that she will have to install barn doors throughout her home, but IT'S FUNNY!

Her husband is the maniac. My gosh isn't his behavior now that he destroyed his family proof? She has been the classier one throughout the whole thing. So she's out making a living for her 8 children and doing what she has to do to support them. That to me is just her being a good parent. She DOES spend time with her children. Much more than that deadbeat dad of theirs. You are all jealous because your attacking her for EVERYTHING she does or says or how she looks even. It's wrong. Are your children PERFECT? Have you been the PERFECT parent? Do you always have a sweet smile on your face? What if you were in her shoes and had bitties like you judging every move you made? It's tough to be under the spotlight and I think she has been the more mature, classier person throughout this whole ordeal. Stop tearing her down for god's sake and look at your own flaws!
The results of last nights show are not unexpected, even if they are wrong. Even though the show is called DANCING with the STARS, it has nothing to do with dancing or stars. Based on last nights results, Kate could beat out the Pussy Cat Doll, and win. The drama of Kate got peoples attention to watch the show, but the longer she stays, the true dancing fans will be disgusted, and soon stop watching. If my curiosity lasts long enough to keep watching, it will probably be for the last ten minutes of the second night. If it goes for more than a couple of weeks of Kate not going, then I won't even bother with that.
After reading these comments, I find it interesting how polar the likes and dislikes are. Every response pro or con is as if we really know her as a person. We are judging the whole situation as if we have all the details. You can't judge a book by it's cover. If you don't like the cover you may choose not to read it. So maybe if the press stop trying to convince us that we know her, it will stop misleading her to believe that she is something special because she gave birth to kids.
I don't think America should get to vote. The judges should do the judging. People put their emotions in to it. I hate the way people bash Kate and I like to defend her but her dancing is not good. I'm able to admit that. I think that Buzz needs to go and that soap opera guy too. They are just as bad.

Jon did not destroy his family. Kate filed for divorce, not Jon. Jon wanted to do marriage counciling and Kate refused. Kate , on their show, said she was coming back home and thought to herself that she did not know if they come get thru this. Jon was not there. Only Kate. So, what do you think Kate did?
Also, if Kate does not want to be judged, there is a very easy way to accomplish that....get off tv. Look how fast Jon disappeared. She will, too.
No one is jealous of a person who is made fun of week after week. No one.

Her last dance, whatever it was suppose to be, looked more like a hippo in a tu tu. It brought me back to a cartoon when a hippo in a pink tu tu was dancing, Kate looked just like that! Her "fans" didn't save her, since she has sooo few, it was her credit card and all the texting she did from her phone, and had her paid help do.

When a person puts themselves and their family, including their children, on a tv show....there are bound to be opinions. Not everyone will think alike or agree with each other. No one persons opinion is more important than anyone elses.

wonder if her children were subjected to ridicule when the went to school after her crappy performance. she should quit for the sake of her children.

I have watched DWTS, I enjoy all the dancers except Kate. After she whaled out in disrespect once her and Tony was not in the bottom 2. It made it look like she was making fun of Shannon. I lost all respect for her and abc. They should not let the others do that. I knew Kate was a bad parent, exploits her children and abused Jon and pretty much uses and abuses anyone that comes in contact with her BUT, that was just unforgivable. Kate treated Tony the same way and he should drop her before she makes him look bad. Kate is such a disgrace and her dancing ability is not there. Hippo in a red dress clomping around is more like it. Her children will never have a real mom to be there for them anyway. She will spend her life chasing the next thing that will put her on tv or in a magaine or on the internet and she always makes a fool of herself and is just a horrible person. Hippo in a red dress??? What do YOU people look like? I think she looks great. I think if you watch the first season you will see that Jon was the abusive one to her. She finally learned to stand up for herself later on. Jon is the one living a whole state away from his children and dating young girls, one after the other. Everyone is so quick to blame Kate for everything and forgive Jon and call him the "abused" one. Women seem to hate other women so much more easily than they do men. I think it's horrible. As far as dwts goes. The show is supposed to be about people who can't dance but every season they put people on there who make a living singing AND dancing such as the girl from the Pussycat Dolls. We knew she could dance before the show even began. It's supposed to be about amateurs LIKE KATE that LEARN to dance from the instructors.
I don't know what the big deal is about Kate filing for divorce. Most of the time the woman files for divorce when the "marriage" is over. There was no fixing this marriage. Where in the world do you get your information that Jon did not want a divorce. He's the one who left and told Kate's brother that it was over. I don't know any woman in her right mind who would want to live with that whiny idiot. If Kate hadn't been organized and planned everything for the family, nothing would have gotten done. Planning and keeping things going takes a lot of time and effort. A lot of planning has to be done for that many children (six of whom are the same age) has to be done. Kate was the more organized of the two. Jon just sort of sauntered around with his head in the clouds. Then, of course, we all know how well he's handled his life since the divorce. Kate's trying to earn living. What's wrong with that?
