'Jon and Kate Plus 8:' Jon Gosselin secretly met with TLC's legal team

Former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star Jon Gosselin merely wants to see the madness come to a halt. For proof, all you need to hear is a story courtesy of Radar Online. Apparently Jon recently met with members of TLC's legal team for a deposition, and they all have an entirely new priority: reaching a settlement prior to the next announced court date in April.

For Jon, there is really no reason to drag this out: he may very well know he violated the terms of his TLC contract upon making paid TV appearances for cash, and a court battle would ultimately end up costing him more coin in the long run. It's technically cheaper for him to cut his losses now and try to find a way to make the money back.

Even if Gosselin does reach a settlement with TLC, it's still going to be difficult for him to find a job. Unless he makes some sort of "miracle deal" with the network, it's difficult to imagine how he could be back on TV making money anytime in the near future. TLC would have to show confidence that Jon wouldn't rat them out on another program; after all they've been through, I simply don't see that happening unless a special provision is instituted.

Jon has offered up his children again for filming, but we've yet to see any official movement on if TLC is interested in a "Kate Plus Eight" program.

Do you think Jon will reach a settlement in the near future? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more "Jon and Kate" news.

Jon has NOT offered his children back up for filming. This rumor came directly from Radar Online and then was picked up by other gossip sites and sadly news sites as well. Radar Online and TLC are working closely. Please investigate this further before you continue to spread the rumors. Thank you!

I doubt TLC is interested in settling anything out of court with Jon unless Jon stipulates he will never slander, malign or denigrate either the network or the mother of his children ever again. He should crawl into a hole, but we all know he wont. If anyone was interested in grabbing media attention, it was Jon. Kate may have had her faults, but she did what was appropriate to shield her children from the fiasco that was Jon. All Jon did was continually drag them all thru the mud.
