'Jon and Kate Plus 8:' Jon Gosselin's lawsuit faces scrutiny from Kate, media

Former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star Jon Gosselin's lawsuit is getting questioned at pretty much every direction. It all began when the reality TV dad decided to use Kate's appearance on "Dancing With the Stars" as leverage for being an "absentee mom" (he's reportedly voting for her, reportedly to prolong his case), and now he's getting a response through Radar Online from a source close to Kate's camp:

“He didn’t see the kids for weeks and the only reason was that he wanted to hang out with his girlfriend...He’s claiming that Kate is an absentee mother when the truth is she’s a working mother.

“What he’s saying is an insult to every mother who has to work to take care of her family.”

The incident the source is talking about occurred earlier this year, when Jon paraded around a number of places in California and Utah with then-girlfriend Morgan Christie. The two have since broken up, and reports are that Jon is trying to secure housing in Pennsylvania in order to be closer to his famous eight kids. He is also potentially asking for child support in the lawsuit since Kate is making $200,000 from ABC's show alone. (She also has a future deal supposedly lined up with TLC.)

Is Jon really as "absentee" as Kate is, or is he right to be asking for more custody? Let me know your thoughts and stay tuned for more "Jon and Kate" news. (To view behind-the-scenes photos of Kate from this week's show, follow the link here.)

Jon should have NO say about the children. He is only around the kids now because he doesn't have a girlfriend right now.Without a girlfriend to support him ,He now wants Kate to support him again .So he is using the kids again to get money out of her.Jon needs to get a job like a real man with 8 kids would do.He needs set a good example for his kids.In till he can make a living without using women to pay his way ,he needs to have supervised visits.

    Hi Haileymarie,

Regardless of what you or anyone else thinks of Jon, he is their Father and they love him. And, should be allowed to be with them. Especially, when Kate isn't. Can you imagine being one of their kids? These kids are part Kate and part Jon. And, Kate is alienating their affection for their Father with her control issues.

John is the absentee parent. Who has been with the kids while
John is out womanizing and bar-hopping? He doesn't work and
doesn't have a place to live. The only thing he wants is Kate's
money because she is working to support them.
    UNBELIEVABLE...............

Jon must think he can get to stay with the children in the house that TLC bought. Then if he could get Kate to pay him to watch his own children, he would not have to look for work. He really has boiled his brain. If he can not file legal forms, and he can't seem to work anywhere, how is he existing? Where does he sleep at night? The tabloids seem to know if Kate breathes deeply, what is Jon doing?
