Whenever former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star Jon Gosselin does anything, we can almost expect Kate Major and Michael Lohan to express some sort of viewpoint. Therefore, we really shouldn't be surprised that the two former members of the reality TV dad's inner circle decided to speak out about his recent settlement with TLC over the breach of contract lawsuit.
Major, who insists that she had a romantic relationship with Jon, offered some frank advice via Radar Online:
"If Jon was smart... and I don’t think he is smart, he would listen to what TLC tells him to do now...I think once Jon was deposed, from what I’ve heard, settling was his last option. I don’t think he had any other choice.”
Lohan, meanwhile, expressed some doubt when asked about the possible consequences the settlement would have on Jon's future:
“I don’t know what the settlement price was, but I would imagine that whatever the number was, Jon won’t be able to pay it back. He’ll probably be paying collection on it for the rest of his life.”
The settlement was likely a hefty sum, but it also continues to hurt Jon that he cannot make any public appearances in violation with his TLC contract. As long as that holds firm, there could be a rough financial whirlwind in store for the once-popular head of the Gosselin family.
