'Jon and Kate Plus 8:' Jon Gosselin reportedly threatens to 'shoot' paparazzi

Did former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star Jon Gosselin really just fire off a death threat at a photographer? If we are to believe a new report from Radar Online, that very much appears to be the case. The reality TV dad was with his children at the Wernersville, Pennsylvania home when he began to feel swarmed by cameramen taking  trying desperately to get a shot. (It's not like he was doing anything exciting -- Jon was carrying takeout.)

Nonetheless, Gosselin relayed the message he wanted to get across to the website's reporters:

"If a photographer comes onto my property, I have the right to shoot him!"

Does Jon really intend on shooting anyone? Probably not -- but this quote is an easy way to grab headlines now that Kate is off "Dancing with the Stars." It may have also been his way of getting rid of some frustration from what could have been a difficult day.

Should Jon have to face any consequences for making a death threat at the paparazzi? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more of the latest "Jon and Kate" news. To view recent photos of Kate, follow the links here and here.

    As much as Jon is a jerk, he does have the right to say that. I highly doubt he would carry through with that and obviously he was just stressed out from a long day with the kids. Paps need to lay off; they get pretty pushy.

    The key phrase here was "if we are to believe radaronline". The answer is NO!!!
    By the way, the blond bimbo who showed up and angered the Kate fans WAS KATE!!!

    Thats how asian people are;
    Dont mess with them;
    And you cant just shoot people for being on your property;
    It has to be justified, like only if you feel your life is in danger because they are on your property while wielding a knife or a gun

    Come on. This isn't news. Most people would make a similar comment if hounded by those people and seeing them trying to invade personal space!

    Its not his property.
    The house belongs to Kate

    Don't the paps have more exciting people to cover?
    On the other hand,BOTH Jon and Kate want to have it both ways for sure. You can always tell when Kate knows the paps are going to be around like for the egg hunt. The girls are always dressed alike. Both these idiots have asked for this and the paps are going to be there regardless of the situation. Not that the majority of people are sick and tired of seeing both of them do what??? Come from getting take out, tanning, nails, extensions- how boring.

    this reporter is very foolish to write this.
    who cares.

    He is frustrated, and even though I think he has no integrity, I say give it up. Nevertheless, when 8 kids are involved you have to listen to what he says and remember the incident with the hand guns. Why would Jon want hand guns? I can see why Kate's anxiety levels and frustration with Jon were warranted. Again, I think it was an innocent statement, but given Jon's erratic behaviors, I wouldn't step on his property if I were a pap!

    Is that one of those takeout places that also deliver drugs or weed with the order? That order he was holding was not going to feed 9.

    Also, VAL - you excuse Jon's sharp mouth due to stress from a long day with the kids. How many people are unwilling to cut Kate some slack due to "stress from a long day with the kids"? Why is people are willing to give Jon given a pass, yet Kate is never given one? Is it because Jon and TLC created this victim character of Jon? Who really was the victim? That is the way it happens with passive-agressive people - they are the agitators behind the scenes, but get the pass because they present as the victim.

    I will never understand how this family could own so much land, but only play with the children on parts that are accessible to the public. They play on their driveway all of the time...they have TONS of land behind their house.

    I believe Jon has the potential to be very dangerous. Don't forget there are drugs and his hand guns involved, and passive-agressive people are like volcanos - you never know when they may erupt, and what form it will manifest. Although, you can always be sure it will come across where they appear to be the victims.

    Let's see - this is the guy who paid a Paparazzo to follow him - now he's mad? Everything he's doing is an attempt to get back into the limelight. He may actually have to shoot someone to do it, unfortunately . . . and Meg - good point - if they don't want to be seen - play behind the house out of the view of photogs.

    I believe the situation with the Gosselins is a tragedy waiting to happen. They are both dumb narcissists who actually believe they're special, and they are not focused enough on their kids. I believe they love them in some far off way - but not more than they love the limelight.

    Mark my words - this situation will end in disaster for all involved . . .

    No John didn't issue a threat. He said he had the right to, which is not completely correct. If he was in fear for his life and felt threatened by the photographer then he has the right to shoot him. However he did not say he would shoot him, so I don't think it's a threat. He was just expressing what he believed were his constitutional rights. I am sure by now, one of his lawyers or consultants have set him straight and explained how that law really works.

    This story is just as stupid as the one where they say Kate ditched the kids to go tanning. It was Jon's weekend so get over it. I am not a Kate fan but I wont stand for stupid stories.

    I read that Jon said that he could shoot if they got on his property. Its not a correct statement but its not a threat to a specific person.
