Former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star Kate Gosselin has officially made a decision on dogs Shoka and Nala -- and it only took her seven months. The famous German shepherds left the Gosselins' property last September in what Jon believed was a move directed solely to hurt him ("It's not fair to the dogs to not be wanted in their own home," he said at the time). However, Kate now tells People Magazine that the pooches will be coming back soon:
"My kids' lives have been changed and compromised and altered enough over the past year...I realized if I had two difficult kids I wouldn't send them away and ask for new kids."
What does this mean? In the grand scheme of things, it at least represents a peace offering between Jon and Kate while the reality TV mom takes part in "Dancing With the Stars." It also shows a greater amount of stability on the family's part as a whole, as the children end up getting back two beloved dogs that they known since before the separation.
Do you think that Kate is doing the right thing in bringing the dogs back to their Pennsylvania home -- or is this all a move for good PR? Let me know what you think and stay tuned for more of the latest "Jon and Kate" news.

These dogs are now adults. Neither kate or Jon know anything about dogs. She doesn't need to wate for the weather to warm, but find someone to teach everyone how to behave around to big dogs. They have a huge bite and no one on that place knows how to behave or listen or be calm. What Kate needs is a really good trainer to teach her and her how to behave around dogs. Those dogs will only remember the place and the dumb and harsh they received there. If the dogs have not been trained, we know those children have not been taught how to behave. I THINK IT SOUNDS REALLY AWFUL
I am so distressed that a breeder would allow Kate, Jon, or any combination of that lot to have their dogs. None of them even thought about caring or how to properly look after those dogs. The kids are still too young to be left with any dog and no one is thinking about the dogs, again. Those children need mice or rats and they need to know that animals especially dogs are not toys. If the dogs are not properly socialized it will be a disaster. If is a PR ploy, she needs,a dog trainer, kid trainers, and a professional PR person.
Hi Bayleesgram98,
I could not agree with you more. Some of the kids were afraid of dogs(I think Aiden). These dogs have been gone for 6 months. They have gotten bigger and let's face it german sheperds are fierce looking dogs. Last fall, TMZ had a video of the kids hitting the dogs with (I think) whiffle ball bats and chasing the dogs around.
Now, the kids are acting out at school (per Kate). What if they bring the dogs back and the kids are chasing and hitting at the dogs and 1 of the dogs growls or snaps at 1 of the kids? They have not been around each other in 6 months. Will Kate or the nanny have the dog put down?
No one taught or trained the dogs or the kids in how to treat an animal. This could be catastrophic.
