'Jon and Kate Plus 8:' Jon and Kate Gosselin actually spotted together

No, it is not an illusion -- former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" stars Jon and Kate Gosselin have actually been spotted together for the first time in literally months. What brought this on? It was the birthday celebration for the Gosselin sextuplets, which Us Magazine reportedly claims included a pool party in 47-degree weather (granted, the pool was heated).

So was this celebration used for TV footage? If so, we know it didn't include Jon. The pool party could be included in a future "Kate Plus 8" special, which (as I was one of the first to report Monday night) is coming back on the air on June 6. We know that this episode will focus on a "surprise" for the sextuplets -- though it is expected to involve some form of travel.

Even though the Gosselins were in the same house together on Monday, don't expect that this will lead to any sort of reunion anytime soon. The two were reportedly just playing nice for the sake of their children -- which is always a good thing, even if some tabloid may blow the whole event out of proportion over the next day or two.

Are you glad that Jon and Kate Gosselin got together on Monday for the kids? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more "Jon and Kate" news. To view recent photos of Kate, follow the links here and here.

It AWESOME when divorced parents can come together as one in front of the children and even behind the children. It shows that even though they can't be "ONE" as a "Couple" They can be "One" as "Parents" But it shouldn't be a "SHOW" It should be "REAL"!!

I am so pleased that Kate and Jon were able to spend the day with the children. They are both parents and they both love their children. By the way I bought the latest book of Kate's letters to her children. It is a beautiful book and lovely thoughts and stories and even apologies from Kate to Jon. Kate you are a classy Mom and person. Happy Birthday to the 6 yr. olds. May you all have a happy year.

I don't think they got together per se, but that Jon dropped by the house to pick up the kids. It's nice to see them photographed together though. Great that they meet face to face even if it's for a while.

They didn't "get together." By pre-arrangement, Jon picked up the kids from the bus after school and took them to his apartment for a birthday party. Jon and Kate were photographed when he dropped the kids back home.

YES, I am glad to see them together. He needs to grow up. She needs to back off and put her childrens' needs ahead of hers. Those "Eight Little Faces" deserve to have 2 loving parents under the same roof all together being a familym. GET COUNSELING, GET BACK TOGETHER, GET OFF TV, and LIVE YOUR LIFE IN PRIVATE.

I think Kate HAS actually relaxed alot since DWTS. I can see it alot in her face. I think it was that punching bag therapy they let her use. I can say that my ex husband was totally a nice guy, great dad, and did a complete role reversal, and has been a "jon-gosselin type" gamer for the past 12 years. He lost interest in our kids 5 years ago, and hasnt seen or talk to them since. I see so much of the same thing, its hard to muddle through, but sometimes thats all you can do.
