While former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star Kate Gosselin is getting plenty of publicity thanks to her debut Monday night on "Dancing With the Stars," her ex-husband Jon is now fading into relative obscurity. As a matter of fact, the major headline involving the reality TV right now isn't where he is -- it's where he's not.
According to Perez Hilton, Jon was spotted out this weekend in Santa Barbara with reported girlfriend Morgan Christie, who is reportedly from the area. Why does this matter? We were told previously by Kate that Jon would be with the kids whenever she was away in Los Angeles. Granted, we know that Kate was still with the family this weekend while they attended a Taylor Swift concert and that Jon could have flown in later -- but something is still not adding up. There have been no real sightings of Jon at his family's Pennsylvania home, where you think paparazzi would be right now thanks to Kate's presence on the popular ABC show.
There are rumors floating around that Jon is "banned" from attending "Dancing With the Stars," live, and he was not mentioned at all during Monday night's debut.

Okay, why isn't Jon at the home when Kate's gone strutting her stuff? I just don't get it... these so called parents of 8 kids!...I really wonder how the kids are doing with only nannies pretty much to take care of them. Granted we dont see inside their lives, but I sure do feel for the kids who don't have parents that are rooting for them and not much family there besides to even help out...LORDY BEE! Hopefully Kate's stint on DWTS will be short lived and she can get back to taking CARE of her brood...Jon he's a lost cause cuz he is not the main caretaker and obviously doesn't wanna be...so sad
When Kate was first announced to be on the show Jon asked to have the custody arrangements changed to allow him to be with the kids while she was in LA. But Kate said "No way! The custody times stay the same. That's what nannies are for!"
