TMZ reports that Jon and Kate Gosselin of Jon & Kate Plus 8 are now officially divorced. The judge in the case has signed the divorce decree, making the two officially single.
Kate's lawyer, Mark Momjian, told TMZ that Kate will "continue to reside with all eight of her children in the former marital home."
Kate issued a statement, saying: "I am very relieved that our divorce has been finalized, and I look forward to the New Year, focusing on our children." Kate calls the divorce "challenging," and says she will now focus on "restructuring our lives."
Earlier this month, Jon was prohibited by TLC from making any media appearances or issuing any statements related to the reality show and TLC. The judge ruled Jon must get permission from TLC to attend any paid media events. TLC filed suit against Jon in October claiming he breached their contract by appearing on such shows as Entertainment Tonight and The Insider.
