Halloween weekend has arrived and bars, clubs and music venues throughout the Joliet, points south and suburban areas are busting out the parties and special events!
Samy's Party Bar(3151 Voyager Ln in Joliet) kicks off the weekend with a four day fright fest beginning Thursday at 8PM. Best costume snags $200, there will be plenty of drink specials and DJ Billy working the turntable all night...no cover before 10PM.
Friday Bedrocks Bar (700 W Jefferson St in Shorewood) will begin their festivities at 10PM with “Sean & Charlie” performing classic rock and pop favorites. Costume contest includes a $250 prize for first place, $125 for second and $75 for third.
Samy's Party Bar (3151 Voyager Ln in Joliet) heads into day 2 with another $200 for best ladies costume, $3 drinks all night and DJ Andy Love spinning. The party launches at 8PM.
“Under D Influence” will be ripping up Old School Bar & Grill (926 W Gardner St in Joliet) along with special guest “Rock Stetson”. Costumes and drink specials will accentuate the live music, which begins at 8:30PM.
Mojoe’s (22 W Cass St in Joliet) celebrates Halloween with the “Pumpkin Pie Halloween Costume Party 2” kicking off at 7PM. The evening includes contest and prizes as well as live music provided by “ODJO”, “Mason Avenue” and Dave Matthews tribute “Trippin’ Billies.” DJ Spade takes over at 1AM until close.
Barcode 52 (1609 W Jefferson St in Joliet) in conjunction with Premier Entertainment Group present the “Halloween Monster Bash” hosted by DJ Skoob with special guest Boi Jeanius from 103.5 FM. There will be a costume contest with prizes as well as drink and shot specials.
New Image Bar (7815 Lincoln Hwy in Frankfort) is throwing a Halloween Costume Bash with live music provided by “Moving Targets”. The festivities get underway at 8PM.
The Halloween Party at Keglers Sports Bar (905 Theodore St in Crest Hill) gets jumping at 9PM and features DJ Aftermath and DJ Kaotek spinning all night. A $500 prize goes to the best costume.
The “FM All-Stars” will be rocking live at the Halloween Smash & Bash hosted by Davidson’s Bar & Grill (14136 S Bell Rd in Homer Glen) commencing at 8PM. The evening includes drink specials and a costume contest.
And now for something completely different…Chicago Blu (19917 S LaGrange in Frankfort) are hosting a Halloween Bash featuring the “Bstar Bombshells” for a night of costume contest w/ prizes, oil wrestling and DJ Mikey bouncing the beats. There is a $10 cover and $30 all-you-can-drink wristbands are available. In addition, for an additional $10 (For guys, girls are free) they will pick you up in the party bus.
Gippers Sports Bar & Grill (2357 Plainfield Rd in Joliet) gets the ball rolling at 9PM Friday with a Scary Boogie Night pitting DJ Nocturnal Neal and DJ Essence in an all out battle. In addition a top prize of $150 will go to best costume of the evening with $100 for second and $50 for third.
Blur Nightclub (22W613 75ThSt in Naperville) presents “The Suburbs Largest Halloween Costume Party” starting up at 9PM. $1000 in cash and prizes will go to sexiest costume and most original costume. There will also be 2 rooms of music and plenty of drink specials.
Saturday the Halloween Bash at Cool River Sports Bar (12622 W 159thSt. in Homer Glen) features costume contest, cash prizes, drink specials and giveaways all night long. Live music comes courtesy of “The Last Envy”, “T1T5” and “Bodega Drive” firing up at 9PM.
It's day 3 of Samy's Party Bar ( (3151 Voyager Ln in Joliet) 4 day Halloween extravaganza and tonight starting at 8PM will be a $500 prize for best costume, $2 beer bottles and UV drinks and DJ's Andy Love and David Alvarado cranking the tunes out.
“Poison’d Crue” opens the evening at Tailgaters, 431 W Boughton Rd in Bolingbrook at 9PM. Headliners are the “Lounge Puppets” and the evening includes a costume contest with a top prize of $250.
The Garage Bar & Grill (70 Rice St in S. Wilmington) presents live music by “Black Cadillac” along with a costume contest and drink specials. The party begins at 10PM.
American Idol contestant Gina Glockson headlines the Halloween party at JW Hollstein’s (17358 Oak Park Ave in Tinley Park) beginning at 9PM. Events includes a costume contest, giveaways and drink specials.
“The Prison City Halloween Massacre 4” will be pounding Bada Brew (802 Theodore St in Cresthill) Saturday evening with an all-star metal fright fest starting at 8PM. “Whut?”, “NCDDC”, “Killer Of Sheep”, “An Undying Allegiance”, “Sarmy Of Doom” and “A Silent Truth” will administer the live music and will be hosted by No Rhythm Jim. Brad and Joe from Metal Wednesdays will DJ the event that also includes a costume contest for best and sexiest with hundreds in prizes, $2 PBR bottles and shot specials. Cover is $5 if you’re wearing a costume, $8 without but girls get in free!
Sam Maguire’s (39 Orland Square Dr in Orland Park) will be throwing a nasty little soiree with “Red Rebel County” beginning at 9:30PM. A costume party along with prize giveaways highlights the evening.
My Place Downtown (5 Cass St in Joliet) is raising hell with a special Halloween party and costume party of their own that will get underway at 8:30PM. “MindShatter” will be kicking out the jams and the celebration also includes raffles and drink specials.
Also Saturday the 6thannual Halloween Party Scavenger Hunt Pub Crawl launches from The Outpost Bar & Grill located at 14929 Archer Ave in Lockport. Cost is $10 per person and includes transportation. Advance registration at the Out post is required. Check in will be at 5PM, the first bus departing Outpost at 6PM and will travel to bars in downtown Lemont. “FM All-Stars” will be performing back at the Outpost following the scavenger hunt along with a cash prize for best costume.
Zelmos Full Moon Saloon (1117 Plainfield Rd in Joliet) will be thunderstruck by the sounds of AC/DC tribute band “Damnation” firing up at 9PM. Along with the live music there will be a costume contest with cash prizes.
“Paparazzi” headlines the big Halloween bash at JJ’s Prime Time Pub, located at 1555 Butterfield Rd in Aurora beginning at 10PM. Besides the band there will also be a costume contest.
Drink specials and a costume party highlight the events at Quigley’s Irish Bar, 43 E Jefferson St in Naperville. The evening gets underway at 9PM with live music via “Cirrus Falcon”.
Danny’s Pub & Grill (1550 N Rt. 59 in Naperville) is throwing a Halloween costume party commencing at 8PM. Prizes, drink specials and games are the featured events.
The Department (205 N Chicago St in Joliet) invites you to their 3rdannual Halloween party featuring DJ Bobby Brandolino spinning tunes starting at 9PM. Highlights include a costume contest with prizes, drink specials and apple pie shots.
Game Pazzo (2011 63rdSt in Downers Grove) is celebrating the holiday with a special Halloween Lock-In gaming affair kicking off at 8PM. Admission is $25 pre-pay, $30 at the door and includes a slice of pizza or hotdog and two soda refills, 12 hours of gaming and NOS energy drink giveaways.
Kiss tribute band “Psycho Circus” headlines the Halloween party at Freakster’s Roadhouse 113 E Baltimore St in Wilmington beginning at 8PM. In addition to the band there will also be drink specials and a costume contest.
Over in Frankfort CD & Me (23320 S LaGrange Rd) are throwing their annual Halloween bash with special guest “Libido Funk Circus” hitting the stage at 8PM. Admission is $40 in advance thru http://www.cdandme.com/concerts/boxoffice.php, $50 at the door and includes a costume contest, DJ, food, Beer, wine and dancing all night.
Also in Frankfort that night are country rockers “Yard Fulla Cars” headlining the festivities at Chicago Blu (19917 S LaGrange Rd) beginning at 8PM. There will be prizes for scariest and sexiest costumes.
Candi from 105.3 KISS FM is hosting a Halloween festivity at Gippers II (8455 E Pine Bluff Rd in Coal City) kicking off at 9PM with DJ Denny spinning the tunes. There will also be drink specials and a costume contest with first prize taking away $300, second place $150 and third $75.
Moe Joe’s (24033 W Lockport St in Plainfield) presents their 7thannual Halloween bash beginning at 10PM. Events include a DJ, a costume party, prizes and rink specials.
“Vinyl Roxx” will be providing the classic hard rock for the Halloween party at Heroes West 1530 Commerce Lane in Joliet. There will also be a costume contest with prizes along with drink specials. I must warn you however to call the bar and confirm this information because neither the bar or the band seem interested in promoting this event other than a blurb (dated Oct 15th) on Heroes Facebook page and their website. I called the bar to get information on the band.
City Of Champions (2727 W Jefferson St in Joliet) is offering a $300 cash prize for the winner of their Halloween costume contest. Besides there being no cover, there will also be .50 wings and a variety of drink specials.
Sunday marks day 4 of Samy's Party Bar (3151 Voyager Ln in Joliet) Halloween weekend kicking off at 8PM. First place in the costume contest gets you $150, there will be $2 Bud, Budlight and Stoli's along with DJ Andy Love spinning until close.
