Jolie dazzles in midnight blue gown at first directorial debut (50 Photos)

HOLLYWOOD – This is Angelina’s first movie as director & writer for the movie “In The Land of Blood and Honey” which premiered Thursday night at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood.

Jolie arrived with her husband Brad Pitt who was at her side throughout the premiere and was seen holding the excess fabric of her gorgeous midnight blue gown and she walked down the steps at the cinema.

Jolie greeted everyone including her father actor, Jon Voight who Jolie has been known for having a stormy relationship in the past. Pitt’s parents Bill and Jane also walked the red carpet to show their support for her work.

Singer Gwen Stefani also walked the red carpet to support her gal pal. Jolie revealed in Marie Claire magazine that Stefani is her one dear friend however said she doesn't have many other girlfriends.

The actress might have six gorgeous children, a great career and Brad Pitt as a boyfriend but in a new interview with Marie Claire magazine she reveals she does have one thing missing from her life - female friends.

The drama has been described as intense and thrilling of a soldier as he fights for the Serbs during the Balkan wars of the 90’s.

Jolie cast Pitt in the film in what is being described as a cameo that is “quick and brutal.”
