No one really knows the history of Joker; the young Labrador mix just lies in his kennel barely making a sound nor a movement. Brought in as a stray and now a temporary resident at the Bibb County Animal Welfare in Macon, Georgia, he is too shy and terrified to even make eye contact with anyone.
Joker was picked up as an aggressive stray, and it is believed he has never been socialized. There is no doubt he will need special attention. A volunteer, who has met Joker stated:
"I visited the neighborhood today where this dog came from looking for the owners, from what I was told from kids and adults this dog was a stray. I personally think he has never had human contact and does not know how to act with humans. From what I have seen from two visits with this dog, it will take a person to adopt him and gain his trust.I have seen dogs take up to six months to overcome this."
Please share Joker's story. Volunteers are trying to find the ideal situation for this dog to ensure everyone's safety as well as providing Joker with the help and safety he needs. Please share his story with friends, relatives and coworkers. Sharing saves lives.
