Join the ghost hunt in Fredericksburg, VA, with Mark, Laine, and the team

Mark Nesbitt's Investigative Team, the Ghosts of Fredericksburg and GhostChannel.TV invite all paranormal fans to attend a brand new investigative weekend in Fredericksburg, Virginia, on November 4 - 6, 2011.  Join the team in historic Fredericksburg, Virginia, and walk in the footsteps of George Washington, James Madison, Robert E. Lee, and America's other great men and women during the past four hundred years.  Fredericksburg Ghost Author/Historian Mark Nesbitt, Investigative Medium Laine Crosby, Author/Sensitive Patty Wilson, Photographer and Technology Advisor Scott Crownover, Radio Journalist Brad Christman, and Investigator Carol Nesbitt are hosting this weekend event, which will focus on meeting the spirits of several sites in Fredericksburg.

Participants will investigate the paranormal while learning about history.  Planned activities include exploring the plantation and battleground which is now the Fredericksburg Country Club and the Civil War-era church and post-battle hospital which is Eileen's Restaurant and Bakery. Walk the path of soldiers and statesmen alike on Mark Nesbitt's personal tour of Fredericksburg history, while investigating these same locations with the team.

Stand where columns of troops walked on the original cobblestone lane, and hear soldiers tell their stories through Laine and Patty, in the locations where battles ensued.  Accommodations  are in the brand new luxurious Marriott Courtyard in downtown Fredericksburg, on top of the archaeological site where the Indian Queen Tavern once stood in colonial times.  Lucky investigators may see one of the apparitions the hotel staff often witness, as the group investigates some hotel locations and views the museum antiquities on display there.

The team will present stories they learned from the spirits on previous visits, and teach attendees how to capture electronic voice phenomenon (EVP), daylight spirit photography, and develop psychic abilities. Participants will also be able to use some of the latest high tech equipment for paranormal exploration. “Plus, there’s NO dieting allowed this weekend, ”  Investigative Medium Laine Crosby explained, “because we’re featuring  gourmet meals catered from the Fredericksburg Country Club, Eileen's Restaurant and Bakery, and the Prime Rib Brunch Buffet at the Marriott on Sunday.” No problem, Laine!

This event is a joint venture of Mark Nesbitt's Ghosts of Gettysburg Tours and the only online paranormal TV channel, GhostChannel.TV. Lectures will be given by Investigative Medium Laine Crosby, Fredericksburg ghost author Mark Nesbitt, and Technical Advisor Scott Crownover.

Amazing Weekend Itinerary

Below is a tentative itinerary. Additional details can be found on the event website.

Friday, November 4, 2011:    3:00 pm - Check in at the Marriott Courtyard, Historic District, Fredericksburg, VA. This hotel was chosen because it sits on an archaeological site explored by the team even before the hotel was built. It was once the location of the Indian Queen Tavern, and its haunts make themselves known quite frequently at the hotel. A block of rooms has been reserved for participants at the reduced rate of $129 per night.

Friday evening:  Gather at The Fredericksburg Country Club. Dinner and lectures take place in the ballroom which was a Union operating room after the battle of Fredericksburg, December 11 - 15, 1862.  Staff and guests often see apparitions in this room, and smell sulphur in November and December, around the anniversary of the battle. Meet the team and hear the ghost stories by the Country Club historian. Other activities include: “How to Use Your Psychic Abilities,” presented by Laine Crosby; a presentation on “Investigative Equipment” by Mark Nesbitt; investigation of the Fredericksburg Country Club and its grounds; and, to wrap up the evening, a return to the Marriott for independent explorations. An ample supply of equipment is available for overnight use.

On Saturday morning, participants return to the Fredericksburg Country Club from 9:00 through noon to enjoy a sumptuous brunch, review evidence captured the previous day/evening, and listen to “The Crownover Photo Technique” presented by Scott Crownover and “EVPs” presented by Mark Nesbitt.

From 2:00 pm through 5:00 pm, the  Historic Haunted Fredericksburg Tour and Investigation takes place. Meet in the Marriott lobby and Mark Nesbitt will take the group to known and unknown historic locations in Fredericksburg and share historic and ghostly accounts of these sites while investigations continue.  These will be some of the same locations featured in Mark Nesbitt's popular book, “Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville: A Ghost Hunter's Guide to Civil War Battlefields.”

After a full day, meet at 8:00 pm at Eileen’s Restaurant and Bakery, which offers a delightful assortment of sandwiches, salads, and desserts. “It’s just what we’ll need to keep us going for the nighttime investigation of this restaurant and bakery, which was a beautiful church before the Civil War and served as a hospital after the battle of Fredericksburg.”

Gather in the Banquet Room at the Marriott Sunday morning to share paranormal evidence from Saturday and view ghost photography, with a break from 10:30 am to 11:30 am for the Marriott’s famous Prime Rib Buffet.
