Join the Diamond D Cowgirls Mounted Drill Team!

See also

I have always loved watching mounted drill teams in action, but I have never had an opportunity to join in the fun. So, when I discovered this fabulous opportunity right here in Georgia, I thought there are probably a lot more like me out there who would enjoy this fun, low-impact activity. What a great way to bond with your horse and improve your partnership experience!

Here is your chance to join the Diamond D Cowgirls Drill Team for the 2014 season. Auditions will be held on Saturday, February 1, from 2-5pm for both the professional team or the JV and Varsity class.

You are certain to recognize the name Ed Dabney, whose Gentle Horsemanship methods have made him an internationally renowned horse trainer. Horse training is a family business for the Dabneys, and the Diamond D Cowgirls Drill Teams are coached by Ed's daughters, who have learned their skills through a lifetime of tutelage by their famous father.

Riders auditioning for the JV and Varsity classes may ride their own horse or audition with a Dabney Lesson Horse. Dabney horses will be provided for auditions, classes and performances for JV and Varsity team members.

Auditions are being held at:
Dabney Gentle Horsemanship
1061 Pleasant Valley Rd
Monroe, GA 30655
