Join SICSA for the 'Lift your leg run and walk' event to support stray animals

Mark your calendars on June 7, 2014 for the SICSA "Lift your leg run and walk" event at Reynolds and Reynolds. The proceeds will go toward the care and finding forever homes for animals in need. This event also welcomes runners and/or walkers to bring their dogs to participate, too! All dogs must be leashed for the event but imagine the fun they would have spending time with you and mingling with other furry friends.

SICSA "Lift your leg run and walk"

Here is what SICSA has to say about the event:

SICSA's Lift Your Leg Run and Walk for Strays helps thousands of animals annually by raising critical funding for their care and adoption. Each year, over 700 people join together and raise money, run and walk in support of companion animals. Participants can choose between the 10K, 5K, and a fun 1-mile course.

In addition, before and after the race, experience our Vendor Village of supporting businesses and organizations. And don't forget to participate in the raffle for fabulous prizes. Exciting entertainment will be provided by Team Zoom. We will also have several human and furry friend contests you can participate in while you are awaiting course awards. Fun contests include Owner/Pooch Look-alike, Best Dressed Human/Pet Pair, and Oldest Present SICSA Alumni.

Ready to lift a hand and a leg? You may register individually or as a team. You can also participate in our online team and individual fundraising challenges. We have great prizes for our top fundraisers. Teams of 6 or more receive a free upgrade to an athletic performance t-shirt, a $5 value per participant! Register by May 31st to guarantee an event t-shirt! Fees are $25 for adults (13+) and $15 for youth (12 and under), and the fees include a cotton t-shirt.

Sounds like a good time, huh? Well, sign-up and plan on a fun filled day!
