Rick Graham is a popular teacher at Salt Lake Community College. He is the academician in SLCC, with a behavior and personality like teaching at Stanford and you really need to tell yourself “I go to SLCC and not to Stanford”, because Rick, especially in his new classroom in South City Campus, may break completely the reality. Coming New Media Center with Rick and several others, dedicated full-time and adjuncts teachers, will hit the highest global standards soon for sure.

Rick’s methodology of teaching is very simple: he makes you an artist through embedding in you artistic understanding of the human figure. Simply: the arm is not an arm but two cylinders, the legs – also, some body forms become cubes, etc. It is very boring, deadly boring and some hate these classes of figure drawing, but it works. So, slowly, slowly, the figures become artistic expressions and not just what you see.

If you want to become an artist, Rick Graham in SLCC will help you even to become a valuable artist. Just you need to be ready for a difficult journey. Nice music really helps not to think what and how you have been drawing, but just to advance following instructions. Nora Jones was lately heard with her “I don’t know why I did not come”. Some students however, know why cannot attend some classes during the long semester: too busy schedule that makes difficult a regular attendance.

However, as Facebook shows, it is possible to learn everything from Rick Graham just in one day. It is coming a 1-day workshop with a small group of fellow art enthusiasts. Everybody is invited to register and develop iPad with ArtRage technological skills to enhance your art repertoire on Saturday, March 2, at 21st Studios, Sugar House, 974 East 2100 South, Suite B, Salt Lake City (9AM – 4 PM). One is sure: it is just impossible not to learn from Rick, so the investment is like in a gold mine.

According to the workshop information, Rick Graham is the premier iPad painting instructor in the Salt Lake Valley, having taught over a dozen lectures and demos on the ArtRage application for iPad - one other hosted by Colleen Reynolds @ 21st Studios. He's back again to let all those artists who could not make it last time join the group.
