On Saturday, June 16, 2012 join Edible Wasatch for their second annual Treasure Hunt for Local Food—a bike ride around Salt Lake City to discover local foods by solving clues, finding local fare and winning prizes.
Beginning at 11 a.m., riders will take Treasure Hunt clue cards and set out on a tasty tour of Salt Lake on one of three rides—each with their own unique geographical features and flavors. Choose the neighborhood you’d like to explore and register for that option: 1) the Avenues and Marmalade, 2) the 9th & 9th SugarHouse area, or 3) Downtown & Trolley.
The tour will begin and end at Reservoir Park with an afternoon festival including live music, food trucks and a prize drawing.
The second annual Edible Wasatch Treasure Hunt is sponsored by Utah's Own and the City of Salt Lake. The ride benefits the Utah Society for Environmental Education.
Registration is $20 per person. (Children under 12 are free with a registered adult. Children 13-18 must ride with a responsible adult.) Once registered, a confirmation email with additional details will be sent out. Space is limited. Register here: http://treasurehuntforlocalfood.eventbrite.com/
