Join APF’s kitten shower

The warm weather brings kitten season, when the Animal Protective Foundation of Scotia takes in hundreds of cats and kittens, including many orphans, putting a tremendous strain on shelter resources. Not all cats and kittens are adopted immediately, and kittens must reach required ages and health checks before they can become adoptable. Caring for kittens is time consuming and can strain resources, particularly if mommy cat isn't available. You can help out in a very meaningful way next weekend at AP’s Kitten Shower.

Stop by the APF on Saturday, April 13 from 1-3 p.m. and join the staff for light refreshments, activities for kids, special favors and check out the many cats and kittens up for adoption.

No RSVP necessary, just stop by with your gift.

Here's our Kitten Shower Wish List:

*KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer)*. This is by far the biggest need. Individuals can buy small canisters of this at pet stores, but APF can buy in bulk much cheaper, so a donation especially for this would be most appreciated.

* Kitten nursing bottles and nipples

*Snuggle Safe discs or Snuggle Kitties

* Baby or kitty wipes (alcohol/scent free)

*Canned cat and kitten food

While at APF check out volunteer opportunities, programs and services APF has available. You may find a place to leave a part of your heart, or bring home a friend to fill it.
