As March approaches, I am starting to see the signs in the store of an approaching spring. Lawn and garden equipment have replaced holiday decorations at the local stores. In addition, the other things that I have noticed are the St. Patrick’s Day Decorations. This time of year always reminds me of my father as he passed away on St. Patrick’s Day. But I also reflect on the things that he taught me like the love of the outdoors. And one of those memories in particular is on my mind this year.
As a little boy growing up two of my favorite times of year were when the local mall (not in the Johnstown area) would put on their annual boat show and camper show. It was a chance to go look at and dream about all of these wonderful toys with my father. I am looking forward to building memories like these with my son this year.
