The 2013 Johns Creek Arts Festival takes place on Oct. 19 and 20 on the picturesque green space across from the Atlanta Athletic Club on Medlock Bridge Road in Johns Creek. This year’s community festival includes a live concert with Banks and Shane and von Grey on Saturday night, followed by a colorful fireworks display.
Presented by the City of Johns Creek and Emory Johns Creek Hospital, the 2013 Johns Creek Arts Festival is the perfect way to get outdoors and enjoy the glorious days of autumn. In addition to continuous live entertainment, the festival will also feature more than 100 artisans from around the country that will exhibit their paintings, pottery, metalwork, folk art, glass, jewelry, yard art and much more. Johns Creek is located on the northern tip of Fulton County and is a short 30-minute drive from downtown.
This year’s headliners on Saturday night (Oct. 19) include Banks and Shane and von Grey. Banks and Shane is a high-energy, hard-kicking, blow-the-roof off band that has wowed capacity crowds around the world with party favorites and memorable ballads. This Americana-influenced group (which is based in Atlanta) has recorded 12 albums since 1972. Von Grey, an all-female alternative group from Atlanta has appeared on "The Late Show with David Letterman," "Conan," NBC's "Rock Center with Brian Williams," and CNN's "Road Warriors." They have opened for Indigo Girls, Sarah McLachlan, Lindsey Stirling, Rusted Root, and Company of Thieves, and performed standout sets at SXSW, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, and Gathering of the Vibes Festival.
Following the Saturday night concert, fireworks will explode over the city of Johns Creek to celebrate the 2013 Arts Festival. Below are some family-friendly highlights.

The 2013 Johns Creek Arts Festival will be open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19. The Atlanta Athletic Club fields are located directly across from the Club at 1390 Bobby Jones Drive, Johns Creek, GA 30097 (intersection of Ga. 141 and Bobby Jones Drive).
