Up until Thursday night, many Texas A&M fans fretted over the loss of their superstar Johnny Manziel. Then Kenny Hill stepped out and showed Aggies fans that he is the new face of the Texas team. According to USA Today on Friday, Kenny Hill was able to match Johnny Manziel's first game stats with 16 out of 20 completed pass attempts in his first college start.

Even more impressive than Kenny Hill's start is the fact that they did it at a South Carolina home game. This effectively broke the Gamecocks' 18 home game winning streak and Texas A&M won in the 52-28 away game stunner.

Kenny Hill was named the starting quarterback for Texas A&M just two weeks ago. He beat out freshman Kyle Allen for the spot and it looks like that was a great decision for the Aggies football team. The number 21 ranked Aggies were able to easily push their way past the number nine Gamecocks.

Hill is looking like a phenom on the football field early on and he has definitely caught the attention of NFL scouts. In his very first college football start, Kenny Hill successfully connected with 12 different receivers. He threw for 511 yards with three touchdowns and no turnovers. Hill broke the school record for passing yards, taking that title from Johnny Manziel who threw for 464 yards against Alabama last year.

If Kenny Hill continues to perform at this elite level, there is nothing to worry about for Texas A&M this season. Hill fits perfectly into Coach Kevin Sumlin's offense and the team as a whole is looking like a force to be reckoned with.
