NBC Olympics figure skating coverage is almost over and Johnny Weir’s work in Sochi is coming to a close. The Olympic figure skating gold medal winner for the women will be crowned on Thursday and the cameras will turn off. One of the breakout celebrities in Sochi, viewers have grown to love Weir’s fashion and discussion when it comes to figure skating. On Thursday the star thanked the world for watching. According to NBC Olympics on Thursday the final day of the figure skating program will include the ladies figure skating free skate.

“I can't thank all of you enough for joining us for the Olympics. It is a marvelous honor to be a part of it all, & hopefully entertain you!” tweeted Johnny Weir from his official Twitter account on Thursday.

If there was one point that Johnny Weir brought to America’s homes it would be to remember to be yourself. Weir has shown his fashion and his knowledge in skating. Offering everyone a chance to see who is he and what he can do, the former skater is fabulous in offering up how to be proud of who you are no matter the circumstances.

America is going to miss Johnny Weir when he isn’t seen every day on the Sochi Ice. Hopefully he has some great projects coming up in the future! As viewers would turn in to watch, it would be lovely to see the star on television (or even the internet) every week.
