Johnny Weir was sparkly on Friday morning when he kicked off the Valentine’s day coverage of the Olympic figure skating. The popular commentator was dishing on the moves seen during the men’s free skate event and every time the camera cut to the star he was shining. Apparently Friday is sparkle and shine day and the star definitely looked the part.

“Today's Look: Sequins by @_UNCONDITIONAL, Ruffles by Libertine, Jewels by @ericksonbeamon, Skinnies by @JBrandJeans, Shoes @louboutinworld,” wrote Johnny Weir from his official Instagram account. While some fans are interested in the athletes, the fashion world likes to see his list of what he is wearing along with a quick snapshot.

The traditional pose in front of the truck is becoming a daily trend, but what fans see on television is just as impressive. His sparkle and shine, along with his strong commentary, offers up an interesting way to watch the Winter Olympics.

Weir’s passion is heard through his words when he discusses the skater’s moves. Viewers watching receive far more details about figure skating than they did with previous commentators and it’s awesome. Add the extra benefit of Weir’s fashion statement and it is the perfect mix.

Thank goodness there is plenty of figure skating to cover for Johnny Weir. The Olympic fans back home love him!
