Johnny Weir tells his side of the real owner is to Tema, the Japanese Chin dog. Radar Online, March 25, 2014, reports that Johnny claims ownership over the dog.
Johnny alleges that Tema was not the family pet as Victor claims. Tema belongs to Johnny, and he got him from a pet store. Johnny claims that Tema would sleep with him on his side of the bed. The dog would remain beside the bathroom door until Johnny came out and that Tema constantly stayed by Johnny’s side as they went throughout the house.
According to Johnny, Victor placed Tema in a bag on the bed. Johnny had gone to the house to pick up a few things and could hear Tema crying and scratching to get out of the bag. He also alleges that Victor was abusive to the dog. He said that Victor would "strike the dog with force on occasion when we were married."
In the legal documents, Victor claims the family pet is worth $10 million. He also claims that Johnny signed a 7-figure deal with NBC. Johnny denies both accusations.
According to Johnny, Victor stole some of his possessions like jewelry, an Hermes ashtray, and a Faberge egg. He even stole most of Johnny’s clothing except for some pajamas, boxers, and T-shirts.
As tragic as this divorce is, it is certainly entertaining. Just like the couple themselves. Chances are, things will only get worse before they can leave each other alone and walk away from a marriage that didn’t last. It's just a shame that the dog, Tema, has to suffer through this ordeal.
