Johnny Contradiction

After winning the crowd over at an open mike night in March, Johnny’s Contradiction will be playing their first professional gig at The Jackpiner Pub in Cary, North Carolina.

The new band will be playing at the Jack Piner Pub located at 401 Ashville Avenue in Cary, North Carolina 27518, telephone number (919) 859-5411. Jon Brown is playing lead guitar and is also lead vocalist, Michael Carnes is Bassist and vocals, Kevin Baldwin is Guitarist and vocalist and Steve Standford is Drums.

The new band is playing three full sets of about 30 songs on the evening of Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 9:00p.m.
Singer and bass player, Michael Carnes, who is also a security advisor, computer programmer and contractor with the Federal Aviation Administration is ecstatic about his musical success and started the band in his own garage playing with his neighbors who eventually combined together to form the new band Johnny Contradiction. Mr. Carnes has been playing guitar since he was sixteen years old and it has always been his dream to someday play a professional gig with a band on stage.

Mr. Carnes is originally from the rolling hills of Northern Virginia and has spent time living in Washington D.C., and Raleigh, North Carolina. He has had many odd jobs before finally landing an incredibly impressive contracting job with the Federal Aviation Administrator as a writer of the new airport security systems and implementation of these high tech security systems in airports all over the country. He travels extensively to install his security systems into airports such as Chicago, O’Hare and Midway, San Francisco, Houston, Charlotte, Newark, JFK and Washington D.C.

Although Mr. Carnes holds such a glamorous and prestigious position with the FAA, he has always wanted to be a rock star and he has now found a way to practice both professions. We wish him the best of luck this weekend.
