Globe trotters who just can’t get enough juicy cheese burgers and shakes will be happy to learn that king of American-style fast food, Johnny Rockets has opened a branch in San Jose, Costa Rica. The company announced the opening via press which stated that “Local franchise owner Maria Eugenia Handal Canahuati is expanding its international footprint with the debut of its first restaurant in the capital’s Lincoln Plaza, an upscale shopping, dining and entertainment hub located on the northeastern side of the city.
The predominantly youth-driven joint serves up burgers, fries, sandwiches, shakes and malts in a hip, amped-up music atmosphere. joint Rockets restaurants serve a variety of traditional favorites that include hamburgers, American Fries "Lincoln Plaza was the perfect site for our first restaurant in Costa Rica because of its focus on families and fun," said Canahuati, owner of Desarrollos Gastronomicos Internacionales Corporation. "Children and their parents can grab a delicious bite to eat with us before or after shopping, seeing a movie at The CCM Cinemas, testing their skills at RIFT Laser Tag, or playing at the kids' zone on the third floor of the mall. We add an extra layer of fun to an already enjoyable day."

The 1,990-square-foot restaurant is stationed at street level of the two-story shopping mall ( Lincoln Plaza), near the main entrance.
